Gemini Expands Its Integration with Brave Browser, Allows BAT Rewards Withdrawal to Gemini Accounts

Gemini has expanded its integration with the privacy browser Brave as it now allows Brave Rewards users to withdraw their Basic Attention Token (BAT) earned to Gemini accounts through the new Gemini User Wallet.

Gemini, a New York-based cryptocurrency exchange and crypto custodian, in a blog post on Tuesday, August 30, announced that Brave can now connect their Brave Rewards wallet with an existing Gemini accounts, or easily create one.

According to the blog post, up to four Brave Rewards wallets on different profiles on devices can be connected to a Gemini account. By the connecting Brave Reward wallet, users can withdraw their BAT earnings directly into their Gemini accounts.

Furthermore, users can spend their BAT with Gemini Pay at participating retailers. Users from the US and Singapore can also move BAT into Gemini Earn and earn up to 3.49% APY on their holdings.

Brave is a popular privacy-focused internet browser with built-in crypto tools and 34 million monthly users. It compensates users for viewing privacy-preserving ads.

While using Brave, each ad that customers agree to watch nets them a small amount of Basic Attention Token (BAT), Brave’s own cryptocurrency. Users can contribute their earnings to their favorite content creator or can trade them for cash and other assets.

The relationship between Brave and Gemini is not new. As Wealth Growth Insights reported Brave browser and Gemini first announced their partnership in July 2020. As part of this partnership, Brave added a Gemini Trading Widget to its browser that enables browser users to seamlessly trade any crypto-asset listed on the Gemini Exchange, as well as view their Gemini account balances and access their deposit addresses without leaving the browser.

In addition, Brave-verified content creators can custody their digital assets in a Gemini Creator Wallet. With this new feature, general user can now also withdraw their BAT earnings to their Gemini accounts. Brave Rewards already integrates two other custodial wallets, Uphold and bitFlyer. Moreover, users can exchange assets using Brave widgets for Binance, Crypto.com, and FTX.

It claims to be the world’s first SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 certified crypto exchange and custodian.
