TRON (TRX) and Ethereum (ETH) have been rivals in terms of DApp creation and users for quite some time now, but that’s all news now as TRON has outsmarted Ethereum as the best platform for Decentralized Applications (DApps) in the entire world!
The entire TRON community took this news with great excitement, including the platform’s CEO Justin Sun who proudly posted a tweet announcing TRON’s victory. According to the tweet, the information came from a data review by one of the leading DApp ranking websites, DappReview.
The review proved TRON to be the leading DApps platform with the total DApp users in the past two months being 267k, followed by EOS 197k and Ethereum 151k. TRON was also listed as the platform with the most active DApp users with a total of 16,236 uses followed by EOS, 13,845 and Ethereum 2,133.
Justin Sun’s determination to defeat Ethereum in terms of DApps and Smart Contracts begun way back in 2018, and ever since, Sun has made quite massive moves such as purchasing BitTorrent and launching a new project and partnering with some of the major and well established industries. Justin Sun is so dedicated to TRON’s publicity such that, even his twitter followers and users surpass those of Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum’s founder.
Apparently, TRON has been continuously trending. Over the last few months, TRON has outsmarted Ethereum in terms of transactions, accounts, price movement and the now DApp ecosystem. In November last year, TRONbet, one of TRON’s evolutions, surpassed Ethereum’s IDEX by functionality and usage.
The Ethereum blockchain platform performs slower, yet it has so many transactions to handle, this is one of the major reasons why both TRON and EOS managed to surpass the world’s 2nd largest cryptocurrency, according to CoinMarketCap.
However, we can’t quite predict Ethereum’s victory chances in the coming days, as the platform also has major evolutions set for this year, including the long awaited Constantinople upgrade. TRON is also fighting hard to retain its new position and it’s therefore clear that the battle between these two crypto platforms has just begun.
